Patients can improve their healing process with the Narrative recliner. The Narrative recliner has a three-position recliner and the five-position recliner. The have a mechanism for counter-balancing a patient's weight to ease a patient's movement. For extended comfort the three-tiered footrest can accommodate a range of patient heights, and the standard design of the arm has a front panel that is open to allow for a patient ingress and egress to be easier. There are many arm options, as well as many accessories so patients can have the right amount of care they need for a healthier tomorrow.

This reclining chair not only looks great and functions well in the home, and in healthcare facilities, it has become an important seating choice for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. Equipped with a five position, non-locking, weight activated, counterbalanced mechanism. Allows for normal sitting position, TV (partial recline), full recline position, horizontal position, and the Trendelenberg position.

Narrative Reclining Chair Features

Complements the broad Narrative Collection of public seating, tables and patient room seating.
The chair is equipped with a three or five-position, weight-activated, counterbalanced, non-locking mechanism. The counter-balancing feature provides for ease of patient movement. The non-locking
feature protects against premature mechanism wear and tear. Allows for sitting, TV (partial recline), full recline, horizontal and trendelenburg positions.
The standard design features an opening at the front of the arm panel for enhanced “grip” and ease of patient ingress and egress, with other arm options available.
The three-tiered footrest system accommodates a wide range of patient heights.
Wood Arm Caps are standard with PAT-Shield Antimicrobial Wood Finish. This durable finish is highly resistant to abrasion and cleaning solutions.
Equipped with stainless steel casters with non-marring, non-skid wheels making the seat height 20”.
Front casters swivel and lock. Rear casters swivel.
Available with an 18” seat height and wood legs.
Numerous optional accessories available to aid in patient treatment. Optional IV pole holders, push bars and utility bars made of rustproof stainless steel.
Additional pieces include lounge seating, multiple seating, occasional tables, chair bed and patient chairs.

SEATING SPECIFICATIONS

Seat Cushioning: Seat cushions made from individually pocketed 14 gauge coil springs covered with foam and polyester fiber.
Mechanism: The chair is equipped with weight-activated, counterbalanced, non-locking mechanism.
Advantages include:
– The counterbalancing provides for ease of patient movement.
– The non-locking feature protects against premature mechanism wear and tear.
Positions: Three and five position models are available. Three position models offers sitting, TV (partial recline) and full recline positions. Five position models further extend to horizontal and Trendelenberg positions.
Footrest: Three-tiered footrest system accommodates a wide range of patient heights.
Wood Arms: Wood arms are standard and offer the advantage of Patrician’s antimicrobial PAT-Shield with SilverIon Technology finish.
Seat Heights: All models are available in two seat heights—20" on casters or 18" with wood legs.
Casters: Zinc plated steel housing with a 3½" diameter rubber wheel. Ball bearings in both the wheel and swivel head provide superior maneuverability. All four casters swivel while the front casters have an additional locking feature. Wheels are non-marring, non-skid.
Wood Legs: Available selection, making seat height 18", at no additional charge.
Pass-Through: Design provides a pass-through between the seat cushion and arm panels for ease of cleaning.
Replaceability: Chair is designed so all components may be disassembled / reassembled in the field.
Upholstered components that are field replaceable include: seat covers, footrest cushions, arm units and back unit. Contact Customer Service for pricing of field replaceable components.

OPTIONS SPECIFICATIONS

Numerous optional accessories are available to aid in patient treatment.
IV Pole Holders, Push Bars, Utility Bars: Optional IV pole holders, push bars and utility bars are made of rustproof stainless steel. Utility bar(s) is useful for the attachment of pumps or as a restraining system aid.
CAL 133: The chair may be optionally covered to comply with California Technical Bulletin 133.
Moisture Barrier: The chair may be covered with an antimicrobial moisture barrier beneath the seat cover.
Polypropylene Caster: Durable, polypropylene housing and wheels with thermoplastic rubber treads. Ball bearings in the 4" diameter wheels and swivel head ensure quiet, efficient operation.
Heated Seat and Back: Available for patient comfort during treatments and to compensate for lower room temperature.
Oxygen Tank Holder: Either arm can be outfitted with a stainless steel oxygen tank holder designed to hold D and E sized tanks.
Drainage Bag Hook: A spring loaded latch hook is available for left or right side mounting to hold drainage bags securely.
Tablet Tray: Adds a small serving or work surface to chair on either side.
