About Wholesale Interiors:

This item is designed and manufactured by Wholesale Interiors, Inc., a furniture company based near Chicago. A lot goes into the making of Wholesale Interiors furniture, and it all starts with attention to details. They hand select their unique line of leather and micro-fiber fabrics. Their furniture is padded with high polyurethane foam to create the body contouring comfort and support for which Wholesale Interiors is famous. All frames are constructed of high quality wood or steel on select models, providing sturdy frame construction that exceeds industry standards. Wholesale Interiors, Inc. is committed to constantly providing stylish and affordable furniture.

In 1940 the Museum of Modern Art held the "Organic Design in Home Furnishings" competition. Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen designed an entire set of Organic chairs, each focused on a different sitting position. The creations were ahead of their time, but never went into production owing to a lack of manufacturing ability. Not until after 1950 was it possible to mass produce large volume of organically molded seat shells, such as the Eames' famous Plastic Armchair or Saarinen's Tulip chair. Now considered mid-century classics, these furniture designs have become very popular. While the Organic chair is a comfortable small reading armchair, the Organic Highback has a higher backrest and neck support. In addition, the armrests and seat area are broader and longer.
