Retro design with a burst of color, the contrast between the stark white
of this chair base and the bold red of the seat cushion will excite
your living space. The contemporary chair consists of a sturdy steel
base with heavy-duty molded plastic seat, all with a glossy white
lacquer. Also included is a detachable red woven fabric cushion made of
high density foam (securable via the included Velcro pads). Assembly
is required.

In a pure approach to furniture design, the Finnish-born Eero Saarinen looked for an essential theme and reduced it to an effective design
solution. With this focus he designed his 1956 Tulip chair in terms of its placement,
rather than its unique shape. "If the
problem is a chair, then its solution must be found in the way it
relates to the room..", said Saarinen. As the winner of the 1969 Museum of Modern Art Award,
Saarinen's Tulip chair is a unique solution to clearing up the "slum of legs" that
populates the under-carriage of most dining sets.
